12/16/2023 0 Comments Fireside lodge yachats oregonWe do wish this reviewer well and hope they find more suitable lodging in the future. We are just so sorry to hear that nothing about their stay was positive and worth mentioning. They are also the most requested room on property and booked years in advance. This guest stayed in one of our Restless Waters with 180 degree view, which are on the higher priced side of our scale. We offer rooms that are the standard two queens or King, all the way up to Jacuzzi suites. Our room prices do vary depending on the room type chosen as well as time of year, with Summer being peak season. We never want someone to leave feeling their stay wasn't wonderful and worth the money. We don't ever claim to be perfect but we hope our other reviews speak to our level of room quality, service and the overall atmosphere we try and create for our guests. We are very sorry to hear this guest did not enjoy her stay with us. I mention this so that you know that there are good restaurants in Yachuts, so this makes the Overleaf a great choice. Ona had great Crab Cakes and the Drift Inn had seafood lasagna and the best Chicken Pot Pie I've ever had. Hay fever sufferers, I had no issues here, no ragweed problems in Oregon that I felt. Not saying AC wouldn't be a plus on hotter days but we didn't need it on our stay. Hotel management keep this hotel the way it is and in great condition and it will always be a popular spot, would definitely come back here someday. Coming from Colorado the humidly of the ocean and waves gave me two great night sleeps. Bed was very comfortable, and I slept like a baby. We had cool weather between 63-66 for highs so room was comfortable, and everything worked. This is a solid 4-star experience and to be a five star would take the charm away from this hotel. Breakfast was buffet style but served to you behind glass which was more sanitary and very good. We were in 305 and our friends were in 205 and they did not hear us run the water or use the hot tub, which surprised me. First time she was able to use one in many years. My wife is allergic to Bromide (usually found in hot tubs) so it was nice to use the hot tub were you fill it up with fresh water and no added chemicals. These were wide rooms, and you didn't feel cramped at all. We stayed in a restless waters room with the sofa. The hotel was very nice, very clean and the staff was very attentive. If our guests choose to share their feedback with us once they are off property, we are limited on how we can make it right. We cant fix an issue if we aren't aware of it at the time. All we ask is that communication is kind. Our front desk staff and management team are available all day, everyday, to hear guests feedback. A note to the Reader: We invite all guests to please bring any issue to our attention while still on property. We assure her as well as all guests, the information is used for improvements. We apologize to this guest for not responding to her multiple surveys. The emails to management are responded to, as we believe guests that reach out to management, are wanting to have a conversation, not just simply share quick feedback. In the same email that contains the survey, there is a link to Trip Advisor to write a review- if one would like, and then there is also a link that will directly email our General Manager. The surveys are not responded to as there are so many, and we simply don't have the time to respond to them all. Our goal is to make the guests experience the absolute best. We appreciate hearing the good and the not so good as it's all used for training. The information is shared with the different departments in our meetings. The surveys are filled with wonderful information for our staff on where we excel and where we have room for improvement. We, very happily, receive a large number returned to us. The Overleaf Lodge and Spa automatically sends an email with a survey to every reservation that checks out.
